The Senior Financial Analyst, BU Finance (MCBU) is responsible for P&L planning, analysis, and financial reporting for the Mobile and Client Business Unit. This role partners closely with MCBU leadership and cross - functional partners to support and influence business decisions through timely , accurate , and insightful financial analysis.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong eye for business, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate complex financial results into actionable insights that improve financial performance and decision making.
Key Areas of Responsibility
  • Support MCBU monthly P&L results and forecast reviews with BU leadership.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Prepare executive - level MCBU Finance presentations for senior leadership (e.g., CBO, GM, and BU leadership forums).
  • Support quarterly and annual planning cycles, including outlooks, operating plans, and long - range plans.
  • Perform profitability analysis by market segment, technology, product, and customer.
  • Identify low - margin products, customers, or segments through review of trends in financial data.
  • Perform and validate product cost analyses, including variances analysis and cost change impacts.
  • Partner closely with MCBU Business Operations, Pricing, Product Management, and Product Lifecycle Management to deliver informed financial analysis .
  • Support monthly business reviews by preparing executive review materials and identifying variances to plan.
  • Support ad - hoc financial analyses, product cost deep dives, and special projects.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and reporting methodologies.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, FP&A, or related field.
  • Proficiency using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) to accelerate workflows and develop financial analysis.
  • Strong eye for business and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present effectively to senior leadership.
  • Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for process improvements, especially using AI tools to improve efficiency.
  • Persistence in working through complex challenges with the ability to develop innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or professional certification preferred.
  • Experience working with financial information systems (SAP and/or SQL preferred).
  • Passion for rigorous financial analysis and taking a data driven approach to business decision making.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively and influence outcomes in a positive way.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic, high visibility environment.

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:
$79,000.00 - $179,000.00 a year
Additional compensation may include benefits, bonuses and equity.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
