Senior Financial Accountant
Location : Chennai
The role is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end reporting function, including building scalable data models, KPIs, and Power BI dashboards that meet business needs. You will partner with IT and cross‑functional teams to deliver tailored reporting solutions and support advanced analytics such as scenario and trend analysis.
You will ensure the accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all recurring and ad‑hoc reports, implementing strong controls and proactively resolving data issues.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Prepare and distribute monthly reports to the wider finance organization in a timely and accurate manner.
- Own the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of all reports within the reporting function.
- Ensure all recurring and ad‑hoc reports are delivered on time with no compromise on data quality or integrity.
- Implement robust validation checks, controls, and review processes to maintain high reporting standards.
- Proactively identify data issues, gaps, or inconsistencies and lead corrective action initiatives.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and excellence in reporting.
- Design and develop scalable data models, KPIs, visualizations, and reporting frameworks aligned with evolving business needs.
- Collaborate closely with IT teams to design, develop, and implement customized reporting and analytics solutions that meet business requirements.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
- Support scenario analysis, trend analysis, and predictive insights to enable informed business decision‑making.
- Drive continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting solutions to enhance usability, performance, and insight quality
- Deliver clear, impactful data presentations to senior leadership and C‑suite executives.
- Translate complex data and analyses into compelling, business‑focused narratives that drive strategic decision‑making.
Your Profile:
- Qualified or Semi‑Qualified Accounting Professional, such as CPA, CWA, CA, or CMA.
- 5+ years of overall experience, including 3+ years of hands‑on experience in developing end‑to‑end dashboards and analytical reports.
- Strong technical expertise in Power BI, Alteryx, and related reporting/analytics tools.
- Proven experience in presenting insights to senior leadership and C‑suite executives.
