As part of the Executive Communications team, the Senior Executive Communicator will report to the Head of Executive Communications and serve as a trusted partner and communications expert for selected executives at Roche, creating and implementing internal and external communications worldwide. In this position, you will closely collaborate with the Head of Executive Communications to co-create and drive communication strategies that ensure members of the Roche family on the Board of Directors, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and members of the Corporate Executive Committee. Working collaboratively with other members of the Executive Communications and Global Media Relations team as well as Communications Business Partners across Internal Engagement and Digital, the Senior Executive Communicator will serve as a trusted partner and communications expert, including developing speeches, messaging, and integrated communications to amplify the voice of the Roche’s executives and reinforce our mission at Roche. The ideal candidate understands and embodies the strategic value of communications, is experienced in working directly with executive leaders and their teams, and has the ability to craft enterprise-wide narratives that reflect our passion for innovation.
In this role, you will drive impactful communications and engage directly with global leaders across the organisation:
Co-create executive communication strategies, including setting the strategic agenda for speaking engagements for Roche's executives.
Draft speeches, talking points, briefings, video scripts, letters, and internal messages for Roche's executives.
Provide rehearsals for speeches and communications training, including Q&As and performance feedback.
Support the Global Head of External Engagement in drafting talking points for executive media interviews.
Contribute to quarterly business results reporting.
Represent External Engagement on various cross-functional teams and forums by providing communications subject-matter expertise
Help break down silos across business areas while transferring and leveraging topics and key learnings across Roche.
Who You Are

Experience:
Corporate/public affairs experience, preferably in the biotech/pharmaceutical/diagnostics sector

Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and oversee several projects simultaneously
Cross-functional project management, including managing external agencies and budgets
Extensive experience in managing issues and crisis communications preferred as well as strong comprehension of effective executive communications, employee engagement, channels and event management preferred
Strong executive presence and significant experience effectively working alongside C-suite executives
Digital and social media expertise, in particular, leading thought leadership programs on LinkedIn
Furthermore, you have a Bachelor’s degree in PR, English, Journalism, Communications, or a related discipline and a minimum of +8 years of related experience.
Bilingual proficiency in German and English (both written and spoken) is essential.
