Position Summary
1. Contribute to expanding the product's market coverage by setting up a product line-up operation plan.2. Contribute to maximizing sales and minimizing loss by managing product lifecycle and developing pricing strategy to meet the target sales for the product.
Role and Responsibilities
Product Planning
- To develop a pipeline plan, coordination and execution of the plan in the assigned product and location
- Manage the overall product line life cycle and overall stock aging status
- Create and enhance the values of products, accessories, content, and services of products
- Ability to execute AP2 forecast and GFK analysis
- Revenue, pricing, and profitability forecast for new products
Market Research
- Conduct consumer/market research by maintaining an understanding of the market landscape, customer requirements, and mapping of competition activities
- Responsible for analyzing market trends and data using internal and external secondary research and hands-on primary research to provide perspective to influence the portfolio of products and launches
- Able to identify product gaps and business opportunities
Business Management
- Manage phase-in and out, monitor performance, and make adjustments to product plans based on results
- Responsible for setting business sales targets and forecasting sales
- Consolidate sales, retail plan, and functional plan for new initiatives
- Liaise with cross functions including Corporate Marketing, Retail Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and to be the point of contact to HQ
- Lead product launch brief before new product launches
- Conduct periodic product training for relevant parties
- Lead the development of a yearly business management plan
Administration
- Prepare and circulate information regarding the competition’s new product launches and product benchmark against the competitor’s product range line-up
- Responsible for tracking and reporting the performance of key product launches
- SCM/MCS coordination and operation
Skills and Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in any field.
- At least 6-8 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably with experience in a role specializing in Marketing/Business Development or equivalent.
- Experience in Consumer Electronics is a plus.
