Nerdwallet is looking for an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead and oversee multiple front end engineering teams to ensure the successful design, development, and delivery of high quality products with a focus on maximum SEO impact. Where you can make an impact:
- Develop, manage and execute the technical roadmap for your teams ensuring the highest standards of quality for all engineering deliverables
- Build and maintain effective partnerships by working closely with the engineers, designers, data analysts, and product groups to build features and high quality scalable products, ensuring cohesive and efficient product development
- Partner with senior leadership and cross functional partners to craft quarterly OKRs that align to broader business goals
- Maintain and improve operational excellence (monitoring, SLAs, post-mortems, etc.)
- Collaborate with product and design partners to deliver foundational technology solutions that drive results today and in the future
- Manage engineers career paths and performance through setting objectives, regular feedback, and sharing best practices
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and risk assessments
Your experience:

- 8+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including 5+ years of experience managing engineers
- Proven success developing B2C web applications at scale using modern frameworks such as React, Next.js, Astro, GraphQL, and modern JavaScript languages like TypeScript
- Experience in developing scalable web applications with SEO in mind
- Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making abilities, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex engineering projects at scale and on time
- A passion for mentorship, cross-functional collaboration, and creating inclusive, high-performing teams.
- Bonus: AWS or Vercel experience
