Are you an experienced engineering leader who thrives on building strong teams, enabling reliable delivery, and creating the conditions for engineers to do their best work?

Do you want to help shape how The LEGO Group builds, governs, and scales trusted data products across a modern global Data Platform?

We are looking for Senior Engineering Managers to join our Data Platform organisation. We have open roles across multiple platform teams, including:

  • Data Compliance – focusing on data privacy, governance, and trusted data usage

  • Build & Publish – focusing on tooling and capabilities for data ingestion, transformation, and publishing

In these roles, you will lead engineering teams working on critical platform capabilities, while creating healthy, high-performing teams and ensuring predictable, high-quality delivery.

*Please note that no relocation support is offered for this position*

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, with accountability for engagement, growth, and overall team health

  • Create strong team environments with psychological safety, sustainable workload, and inclusive ways of working

  • Drive core people processes such as performance management, development planning, and recognition

  • Support career development through structured feedback, coaching, and growth conversations

  • Own the reliability and predictability of team delivery and translate priorities into executable work

  • Partner with Product Managers and Lead Engineers to turn strategy into clear execution plans and backlog outcomes

  • Balance delivery with engineering fundamentals such as stability, security, maintainability, and technical debt

  • Manage team capacity and remove organisational friction to support sustainable delivery

  • Use insights and metrics to support transparency and informed decisions

Play your part in our team succeeding

The Data Office builds and runs The LEGO Group’s central Data Platform and acts as a Centre of Excellence for data, governance, and AI.

You will work in a shared leadership model where Product Managers focus on strategy and roadmap, Lead Engineers provide technical leadership, and Senior Engineering Managers are accountable for people leadership, execution, and delivery.

Do you have what it takes?
  • An experienced engineering leader with a strong track record of leading teams in complex technology environments and driving execution through others

  • Strong delivery and execution experience in product or platform environments

  • Ability to balance people leadership with operational discipline

  • Experience collaborating with Product Managers and technical leaders

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

  • A collaborative leadership style and genuine interest in helping teams succeed

Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
