About the Role:
As a Senior Engineering Manager for Content & SEO, you’ll help create an impactful first time experience for millions of users by setting a long-term vision and directing multiple teams to make sound engineering decisions as well as appropriate tradeoffs between shipping code fast and making important technical investments for the future. This is a hybrid position (office location: Krakow), and you will report directly to the local Engineering Director.
This complex domain consists of multiple interwoven areas that play crucial role in Remitly’s growth trajectory:

Potential Customer experience - ownership of non-logged users interactions and creation of value for them.

Content management - collection, delivery, discoverability, retrieval, governance and overall management of assets.

Technical SEO & Web architecture technical excellence in how the content for potential customers is created, processed, cached and presented.

Translations - how translation process is implemented into the creation and maintenance of the content.
You Will:

Build a state-of-the-art, scalable, resilient and high-quality web platform, serving the needs of our multi product strategy.

Together with Product and Stakeholder counterparts, set quarterly goals and define a long-term roadmap for your teams.

Participate in technical discussions and technical design, aiming to align teams towards a common goal.

Have a relationships and work arrangements with partners in US and UK that ensure transparency and autonomy.

Establish the hiring plan for the team, sourcing and interviewing a diverse set of candidates.
You Have:
-
6+ years of engineering experience.
-
3+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including hiring and training engineers up to Senior level.

Expertise in building content management platforms, scalable front-end architecture or Technical SEO.

Passion for designing and delivering high performing systems that use edge computing, caching and smart routing.

Experience defining and influencing technical designs and processes across teams.
