- Be responsible for MRS (Module Requirements Specification) to meet SRS (System Requirements Specification) and ensure the traceability. Instruct others on MRS definition;
- Plan module tasks using VPM tools as Module Owner;
- Mechanical design, development, qualification at a complex module level independently in line with the company new product development process and mechanical engineering statement of work;
- Be responsible for 3D modelling, 2D engineering drawing, BOMs, mock-ups, tooling, testing as required per project assigned, maintain accurate CAD data and documents by using the PDM system;
- Be responsible for leading module Integration test. Develop test plan and report. Analyse the test results and optimize the design as needed, analyse and solve the problems using standard tools;
- Cross-function interface to sourcing, operations, quality, and service team to ensure the design output meet DFX (design for manufacture/assembly/testing/cost) and quality goals, as well as external interface to supplier and customers;
- Lead module level DFR (design for reliability) activities such as DFMEA, Design Margin Analysis, Technical Design Review, etc.
- Coaching new colleagues or colleagues with less experience;
- Confirm FTO (Free to Operate) report in new product development projects;
- Act in accordance with project needs and Leica SOP requirement. On time deliver task assigned.
