Duties: Architect software systems supporting the CoreWeave Cloud Platform. Lead new product engineering initiatives. Write software tests. Perform code quality reviews. Mentor junior engineers. Write technical documentation. Create architectural diagrams. Translate product requirements into units of engineering work.
Telecommuting permitted 20% of the time: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the CoreWeave office in New York, NY.
Export Control Compliance This position requires access to export controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency. Job Requirements: Bachelor's/US or Foreign Equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Software Engineering, or related field and eight (8) years of experience in Software Engineering. Must have seven (7) years of experience with writing software unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end tests. Must have five (5) years of experience with writing maintainable code with Python or Go; mentoring junior engineers; leading product engineering initiatives; writing technical specifications for distributed systems; proficiency in designing and implementing high performance APIs using gRPC and Protocol Buffers; and extensive experience in developing, deploying, and managing applications on a Kubernetes platform.
Salary: $243,800-$303,000/year

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Software Engineering, or related field (US or foreign equivalent) and eight years of experience in Software Engineering

- Five years of experience writing maintainable code with Python or Go
- Five years mentoring junior engineers and leading product engineering initiatives
- Five years writing technical specifications for distributed systems
- Proficiency designing and implementing high performance APIs using gRPC and Protocol Buffers
- Extensive experience developing, deploying, and managing applications on a Kubernetes platform
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information (U.S. person or eligible to obtain required authorization)
