This role is responsible for providing expert support for complex, high-risk and sensitive ER matters across our EMEA region. As part of this role, you will also manage relationships with multiple Works Councils, lead end-to-end consultations, and partner with EMEA HRBPs, Employment Legal, functional leaders, and other stakeholders to deliver sound, consistent outcomes. To help our teams work together effectively we're looking for someone based in the UK.
In this role:
- You will lead Works Council engagement and consultation processes across EMEA, including relationship management, planning, meeting preparation, facilitation, consultation materials, Q&A, responses and follow-through on actions.
- You will assess Works Council and consultation implications of regional, functional and enterprise changes, taking account of country-specific requirements, employee impact, sequencing, legal risk and communications.
- You will manage complex ER casework, investigations and operational escalations, and advise leaders and HRBPs on performance management, grievances, disciplinary action and other sensitive matters.
- You will build effective partnerships across our EMEA region and help maintain clear intake, governance and operating processes for ER and Works Council matters.
- You will also support our Global Employee Relations team on developing and implementing various initiatives and supporting global cases.
- You will provide ER related trainings, including topics for managers on effective performance management, navigating difficult situations/conversations, and labour law compliance
- You will use data to identify employee relations trends and dedicatedly provide preventative trainings, systems processes
On your first day, we will expect that:
- You have extensive EMEA employee relations experience, managing complex, sensitive matters across multiple countries.
- You have a proven track record managing relationships with multiple works councils and leading consultations and related processes with cross-functional stakeholders.
- You have experience developing and implementing ER practices, guidelines and regulations to ensure compliance with employment laws, policies and procedures.
- You have strong knowledge of employment law, ER practices and country-specific consultation requirements across EMEA.
- You have proven experience building trusted partnerships with HRBPs, employment legal, business leaders, employee representatives and other stakeholders, and you deliver clear, pragmatic recommendations.
