Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Semiconductor design and engineering; designing, developing, modifying and evaluating electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. They determine design approaches and parameters; analyze equipment to establish operating data, conduct experimental tests & evaluate results. Common skill sets include Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, HMOS/MOS/CMOS, PLL, ADC, DAC etc. 
  • Developing specialized knowledge in their discipline. Serves as best practice/quality resource. Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area. Contributes strategy and policy development and ensure delivery within area of responsibility. 
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market 
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.  
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering  from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5+ years of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, electromagnetic theory, and power systems
  • Minimum 3 + years of experience of relevant industry and governments standards and regulations, (ie..DO-160, MIL-STD-704)
  • Minimum 2 + years of experience of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other engineering tools used to design and test electrical systems, preferably Altium
  • Minimum 2 + years of strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and solve complex engineering problems

Skills Required
