Senior EDI Developer
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior EDI Developer to serve as a lead technical contributor supporting multi-state Medicaid implementations within a healthcare EDI environment. This role requires deep expertise in EDIFECS and related technologies including Linux, databases, reporting tools, and ETL platforms.
The Senior EDI Developer will design, configure, support, and enhance COTS-based healthcare solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as CAQH CORE and CMMI practices. This role operates with minimal supervision and collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality EDI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, document, test, and debug new and existing EDI systems and applications.
- Support and maintain EDIFECS-based healthcare clearinghouse platforms.
- Perform CAQH CORE validation and compliance activities.
- Configure and validate firewall rules.
- Apply recurring ECL releases (quarterly and annual) across multiple environments.
- Translate business requirements into system definitions and technical solutions.
- Create detailed technical specifications based on conceptual designs and stated requirements.
- Participate in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) aligned with CMMI Level 3 practices.
- Analyze system configuration and end-to-end transactional mappings to identify and resolve issues.
- Maintain configuration and version control using Azure DevOps.
- Support and maintain ETL platforms across multiple Medicaid state implementations.
- Review and respond to critical and non-critical system alerts.
- Configure and map ANSI X12N 5010 transaction sets.
- Participate in CMMI audits and quality reviews.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of total work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated experience with EDIFECS in a healthcare EDI environment.
- Strong knowledge of ANSI X12N 5010 transaction sets.
- Experience working with Linux, relational databases, reporting tools, and ETL platforms.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for configuration and version control.
- Working knowledge of CAQH CORE certification requirements.
- Familiarity with CMMI standard practices.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multi-state Medicaid implementations.
- Experience in healthcare clearinghouse environments.
- Experience supporting version upgrades and production releases.
- Familiarity with firewall rule configuration and validation.

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $96,250 - $125,000
