POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for building the future workforce through developing and executing innovative talent management strategies and performance management programs. These strategies ensure Banner has the proper structure and top talent to successfully grow our reach and impact. Collaboration with key senior-level stakeholders and HR business partners within a highly matrixed organization is critical in building these enterprise-wide programs that address our current and future talent needs. This position is a leader of team members and leaders, providing subject matter expertise for talent management (ex. learning, development, performance, career path, succession, organizational development, or performance management) initiatives for the entire enterprise. This position provides leadership for multiple complex projects and system initiatives simultaneously. This role is responsible for developing and implementing intentional destination career plans that ensure internal top talent have the experiences and build the competencies needed to retain and ensure team members' success.

CORE FUNCTIONS

1. Leads function responsible for establishing and delivering on processes, tools, reporting, communication, and facilitation that develop and grow leadership pipelines across Banner.

2. Oversees innovative and targeted development and performance management programs, initiatives, events, and experiences to support talent management needs within specific departments and the entire organization.

3. Strategic partner in assessing the organizational culture, continues to identify talent gaps, and leads the team responsible for building, delivering, and managing learning and education programs that serve to fill skill, competency, and value gaps as identified.

4. Creates and executes against opportunities and strategies that help team members share and develop skills and competencies, enabling their growth and retention in unique and innovative ways within Banner.

5. Translates talent management strategy into operational execution. Partners with key internal stakeholders to coordinate and align talent development and learning with Banner/HR strategy, culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion frameworks.

6. Ensures that talent program designs measure quality/financial outcomes to identify potential organizational return on investment and impact of the organization's strategy. Partners with Banner Foundation to identify and execute on financial opportunities that establish or grow programs through grants, external partnerships, etc., resulting in growth and development of Banner team members.

7. Oversight of company onboarding and orientation programs and experiences for all Banner team members and team leaders. Establishes and ensures program delivery is consistent, engaging, and holistic for all core Banner team members. Leads the team responsible for executing system leader onboarding.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a strong knowledge of organizational development and change management as normally obtained through complement of a bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration or related field.

Depending upon assigned area of responsibility, position may require applicable certifications and/or licensures, including but not limited to: RN; MD or DO; Driver's License; Certified Healthcare Protection Administrator (CHPA); Certified Protection Professional (CPP); Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU); Associate in Risk Management (ARM); CPA; SPHR; Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA); Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT); Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM); Certified Facility Manager (CFM); Certified Coding Specialist (CCS); Certified Professional Coder (CPC); JD from an American Bar Association accredited school; admission to a State Bar Association.

Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of workforce planning as normally demonstrated through five to seven years of healthcare planning and/or process management and operations experience. Requires strong logic, conceptual, analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills to analyze and define opportunities for hospital growth, as described above. Must possess strong executive presence with written, verbal, and presentation skills that enable the candidate to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as present findings and recommendations to senior and executive leaders. Must also possess strong organizational and project management skills to effectively direct and manage multiple comprehensive business plans simultaneously.
