The Senior Director Strategic Insights leads Geisinger’s enterprise intelligence and strategy execution backbone, integrating strategic insights, consumer research, and enterprise performance management into a cohesive system that informs decisions and drives accountability for results. This role sets the enterprise agenda and standards for what the organization knows, how strategy is measured, and how leaders use insight and performance data to guide decisions. The Senior Director ensures a single fact base, disciplined performance cadence, and clear signals when strategic adjustment may be required.Job Duties:
- Set the enterprise strategic insights agenda, translating market, consumer, competitive, and internal performance intelligence into decision‑relevant implications, options, and risks. Establish standards for analytic rigor, synthesis, sourcing, and executive‑level storytelling. Ensure insights consistently inform enterprise strategy, planning, and prioritization discussions.
- Oversee enterprise and BU‑level market assessments, competitive intelligence, trend analysis, and scenario modeling. Ensure insights are timely, decision‑ready, and aligned to planning, strategy, and performance cycles. Maintain a consistent enterprise fact base used across strategy, planning, and performance management.
- Own the enterprise consumer and market research capability, embedding the voice of the consumer in strategic and growth decisions. Oversee development of repeatable research assets (segmentation, journey insights, primary research).Coordinate with BU‑embedded insights and research teams to avoid duplication and strengthen shared learning.
- Partner closely with ESO Business Strategy and Strategic Planning leaders to support opportunity sizing, portfolio assessments, and scenario analysis. Provide pressure‑testing and fact‑based challenge to strategic hypotheses and business cases. Ensure clear traceability from data to insight to implication to decision.
- Design and set standards for the enterprise strategic performance management system, including KPI hierarchy, scorecards, target‑setting logic, and governance. Ensure performance measures align directly to enterprise priorities and strategic intent.
- Lead, coach, and develop insights and performance management leaders and teams. Establish shared tools, templates, and quality standards across insight and performance functions.
