The Role
The Sr. Director, Project/Program Management plays a central part in enterprise AI transformation, leading program management of strategic initiatives, transformation workstreams, and other key enterprise priorities. Reporting to the AVP, Strategic Operations & Transformation, this role provides leadership and oversight to the program management function supporting Cox Automotive's multi-year AI-first transformation, business rationalization, and technology stack simplification efforts. This leader oversees project/program teams from design to delivery, ensuring alignment with the transformation roadmap and strategic objectives across CAPTG and the broader enterprise.Oversees the development and management of processes, methods and technologies to be used by program managers.
Responsibilities:
  • Determines program priorities and the optimal resource mix for effective program delivery.
  • Partners with CAPTG leadership, senior functional leaders, and business unit stakeholders to identify and prioritize transformation programs, strategic initiatives, and high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with transformation roadmap and enterprise objectives.
  • Evaluates needs across projects and programs and creates team structure to support and sources talent to deliver.
  • Directs the development, recommendation and execution of applicable policies that meet strategic objectives and lead to process improvement.
  • Manages complex SOW agreements associated with program delivery.
  • Manages and develops relationships with key delivery partners.
  • Establishes and maintains program governance frameworks for transformation workstreams, ensuring on-time/on-budget delivery.
  • Tracks and reports on transformation program progress, KPIs, and OKRs to key stakeholders.
  • Manages execution of strategic initiatives and special projects as directed
  • Drives continuous improvement of PMO capabilities, processes, and tooling to enhance delivery predictability and efficiency
  • Drives adoption of AI-enabled program management practices to enhance delivery predictability, automation, and stakeholder visibility.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 12 years' experience in a related field with at least 7 years' experience in a management or lead role; or a different combination, such as a master's degree and 10 years' experience; or PhD and 7 years' experience or 16 years' experience in a related field.
  • Experience leading a program management function within a technology organization
  • Advanced skills in analytical thinking, consulting, budgeting, managing multiple priorities, and project administration & management.
  • Advanced skills in building partnerships, engaging others, focusing on execution, guiding team success, and influencing positive outcomes.
  • Ability to influence across the organization and build a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Other duties as needed or required.

USD 163,400.00 - 272,300.00
Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $163,400.00 - $272,300.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
