Job Title
Senior Director of Operations & Supply Chain (CPG)Job Description
About the Position | Major goals and objectives and location requirements:
We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Senior Operations Director to build and lead end-to-end operations for a new CPG beverage brand. You will own the physical life cycle of the product—from commercialization and sourcing through production, inventory, warehousing, shipping, and replenishment. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and manufacturing partners to ensure we make the right product, at the right quality and cost, and get it where it needs to go on time. This is a role for a builder and operator—someone who can create scalable systems and partnerships while staying close enough to production and supply chain execution to solve problems quickly.
What You’ll Do
- Own end-to-end operations from commercialization through production, customer delivery and replenishment.
- Build the supply chain, vendor network and operating processes required to launch and scale the business.
- Translate forecasts into production, inventory and supply plans, including co-manufacturer capacity, scheduling and production readiness.
- Manage sourcing and external partners across ingredients, packaging, co-manufacturers, warehouses, 3PLs and freight.
- Work closely with the VP/GM on the commercialization of new products and formats across formula, packaging, specifications and production requirements.
- Partner with quality, regulatory and technical resources on food safety, process authority and compliance.
- Own inventory, warehousing, fulfillment and transportation across retail, distributor, foodservice and DTC channels.
- Own key components of COGS and landed cost, while managing operational KPIs across production, inventory, service, freight and cost.
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of operations, supply chain or manufacturing experience, including at least 7 years in beverage.
- Direct beverage manufacturing experience required, ideally in RTD, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, wine, or spirits utilizing glass and aluminum packaging.
- Experience managing products from commercialization through production, distribution, and replenishment.
- Strong experience with co-manufacturers/co-packers, outsourced manufacturing and external supply-chain partners.
- Deep knowledge of production planning, sourcing, ingredients and packaging, inventory, warehousing and transportation.
- Strong financial and operational judgment, including COGS, landed cost, budgets, working capital, vendor negotiation and project management.
- A builder mentality with the ability to move quickly between strategy and hands-on execution in a fast-moving environment where the operating infrastructure is being built rapidly.
