Position Title: Senior Devsecops Engineer
Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A fantastic fixed term opportunity has presented itself for a Senior Devsecops Engineer reporting to DevSecOps Security Manager – Application and Endpoint Security
A bit about your role
The Senior DevSecOps Engineer – Infrastructure and Endpoint Security provides technical leadership across a portfolio of security platforms that protect nbn’s infrastructure and endpoint environments. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and enhancing security capabilities, while driving platform reliability, automation, and continuous improvement. Working collaboratively with stakeholders, vendors, architecture teams, and operational support teams, the Senior DevSecOps Engineer leads complex problem resolution, contributes expert technical guidance, and helps ensure security services remain effective, scalable, and aligned with business and security objectives
A bit about you
You’ll bring strong experience across several cyber security disciplines, including endpoint detection and response (EDR), Microsoft security technologies (Defender Suite and Purview), vulnerability and exposure management, Trellix application control or similar, data protection, certificate lifecycle management, public key infrastructure (PKI), and related security services. Experience across all technologies is not expected; however, you will demonstrate deep expertise across several of these domains and a strong understanding of enterprise security operations. Experience with automation and engineering practices, including Ansible, API integrations, and scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python, will be advantageous but is not essential.
Success in this role will require strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis capabilities, along with experience in network traffic analysis, security platform architecture and integration design, technical stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and technical escalation handling. You will be comfortable leading complex technical investigations and driving continual improvement across security
Application Process
You may find that your experience does not match every requirement listed but, if this role has piqued your interest or resonates with where you are in your career, we encourage you to apply rather than self-select out. We are interested in transferable skills and your skills and perspective could be exactly what we would value to strengthen our team.
