About the team
FIS’s XSP provides a complete end-to-end solution suite that automates the corporate actions process, from cleansing and standardizing data and providing firms a global, “golden copy” to downstream notification as well as the automation of response capture. XSP combines intelligent software with enterprise-grade, multi-tenant secure architecture. Highly scalable and volume insensitive, with a flexible and modular approach.
The DevOps Engineer researches, designs, and develops technical solutions for XSP™ and related products applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to implement advanced processing rules for automating Corporate Actions data.
What you will be doing
- Use infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools to build an automated deployment for new customer environments and upgrades
- Take part in Cloud solution design process, share knowledge, and provide technical guidance to other team members within areas of expertise
- Maintain and further develop development infrastructure including CI/CD environment and automated tests environment
- Take part in code reviews, and share architecture layout and its features to all stakeholders
- Grow your skillset in close association with your teammates and other industry specialists from our wider organization
- Engage in constant architecture and toolset modernizations of our cloud offering by sharing your ideas and vision
- Architect related infrastructure parts of our Agile software development process, working with Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Terraform and various Azure services
What you bring
- 5+ years of relevant work experience as System engineer, DevOps engineer or Linux Engineer
- Experience with source control systems (Azure DevOps, GitHub, BitBucket)
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python)
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases
- Experience with management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Hands on experience with services on Amazon AWS or Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure platforms
- Deep Linux knowledge (RHEL, CentOS)
- Practical experience in administering Microsoft Windows Servers
- Container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration
- Experience with metric, logging and monitoring tools, preferably Grafana, Prometheus and Splunk
- Experience with provisioning tools (Terraform)
- Experience with network security, load balancers, web servers, DNS, proxies, reverse proxies, firewalls
- Experience with automation servers (Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good verbal and communication skills in English language
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Added bonus if you have experience
- As people manager / team lead; in Agile/Scrum
- Azure DevOps or Jira ticketing system
- With Helm package manager
- With message queuing systems like RabbitMQ, Kafka
- In software releasing and versioning
- With object oriented programming, preferably C#
- Exposure to software development
- In finance/insurance
