We are looking for a Java Software Developer to join our team based in Kragujevac or Belgrade, Serbia. In this role, the selected candidate will be accountable for all parts of the software development lifecycle for their projects. They will develop, adapt, and implement short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems, databases, and applications infrastructure. They will also proactively help team members and make suggestions to improve practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain web applications and services.
- Write effective APIs.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions and collaborating with support teams as needed.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks, driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across the development team.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality and identifying areas for improvement.
- Write technical documentation.
- Proficiency in Java. Working expertise in any other object-orientated programming language would be a plus.
- Good Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL databases. Ideally, also have experience in highly scalable and distributed systems and handling of distributed transactions, data sharing and partitioning.
- Experience using a Version Control System (GIT).
- Knowledge of RESTful API services.
- Working experience in Agile methodology.
- Experience in development using CI/CD.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with proven fluency in English.
