Job Description: Senior Azure Cloud Consultant

Job Summary

Ensono’s Public Cloud Consulting practice is expanding to support enterprise-scale cloud transformation, modernization, and AI-driven initiatives. We are seeking a Senior Azure Cloud Consultant to lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and automated cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure.

You will act as a trusted advisor and technical leader, driving end-to-end engagements—from strategy and architecture through implementation and optimization—across migration, modernization, platform engineering, and AI adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements across the full consulting lifecycle: discovery, architecture, design, implementation, and optimization
• Drive Azure modernization strategies (rehost → refactor → rearchitect → rebuild)
• Architect and implement enterprise landing zones aligned with Azure CAF & Well-Architected Framework
• Deliver platform engineering solutions (self-service platforms, golden paths, reusable modules)
• Run architecture/design workshops and produce high-quality HLD/LLD documentation
• Provide technical leadership and escalation support across delivery teams
• Embed security, compliance, and governance (DevSecOps) into all solutions
• Champion automation-first approach using IaC and CI/CD pipelines
• Mentor consultants and contribute to practice development, accelerators, and standards
• Support pre-sales, solutioning, and client advisory engagements

• Enterprise-scale Azure design (Landing Zones, Management Groups, Policy)
• Advanced networking (Hub-Spoke, Azure Firewall, Private Link, ExpressRoute)
• Identity (Entra ID, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, Zero Trust)

Modernization & Cloud-Native

• PaaS-first and cloud-native architectures (App Services, Functions, AKS)
• Microservices, event-driven and API-first design patterns
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (AKS)

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Terraform (preferred), Bicep/ARM
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
• GitOps practices and environment standardization
• Integration of GenAI (Azure OpenAI), Copilot, and AI-driven automation

FinOps & Cost Optimization

• Cost governance, budgeting, tagging strategies
• Right-sizing and optimization
• Business value articulation and ROI focus

DevOps & Platform Engineering

• Strong DevOps mindset with emphasis on:
• CI/CD maturity and automation-first culture
• Shift-left testing, security, and compliance
• Deployment strategies (blue/green, canary, rolling)
• Experience building developer platforms / internal developer portals
• Integration with tools like GitHub, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform Cloud

Consulting & Leadership Skills

• Strong client-facing consulting experience
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Executive-level communication and presentation skills
• Proven ability to lead workshops and influence stakeholders
• Mentoring and team leadership capabilities

Experience Requirements

• 12+ years in IT with 8+ years in Azure cloud consulting/delivery
• Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent) from a reputed university; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience delivering:
• Large-scale Azure migrations and modernization
• Enterprise cloud platforms (Landing Zones)
• DevOps and automation solutions
• Hands-on experience in design, build, and troubleshooting
• Experience working in global delivery models and enterprise environments

Nice to Have

• Azure certifications (Expert level – Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)
• Experience with multi-cloud (AWS/GCP)
• Exposure to platform engineering frameworks (Backstage, IDP)

Knowledge of industry compliance (ISO, GDPR, etc.)
