Applied Scientist

CYE is helping world-class security teams optimize their security decisions using a data-driven approach. As a Senior Applied Scientist, you’ll be at the center of CYE’s scale-up effort. You will create models that overcome formidable cyber-offensive and defensive challenges by translating and enhancing the knowledge of CYE’s world-class security researchers. You will also build models that generate deep insights for our clients, giving you tremendous impact.

You’ll work on:

• Creating models for suggesting attack routes and guiding pen-testing scenarios.
• Evaluating an organization’s internal and external data for assessing overall risk and extracting actionable intelligence.
• Exploring open research questions, reading papers, designing robust systems and algorithms, creating MVPs.
• End-to-end implementation of results in production.

This role is for individuals who:

• Are self-learners, passionate about tackling open research questions.
• Are able to unblock themselves and work individually.
• Have 5 years of production software development experience (process will include an in-depth coding interview).
• Have 5 years of research or applied science experience (process will include an in-depth research or applied science interview).

You have an edge in this role if you:

• Hold a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar.
• Have a cybersecurity background.
• Have extensive experience in Python.
