Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer – SAP Data Analytics (SAP BW with ABAP, SAP Datasphere & SAC) specialization with 7-10 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in SAP BW and a strong command of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). You should have a proven track record of designing, developing, and optimizing complex solutions for data extraction, reporting, visualization, and planning. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of SAP BW data models, including InfoProviders, Data Store Objects (DSO), and cubes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and user departments to gather business requirements and provide technical guidance on SAP BW data architecture and reporting solutions.
- Develop and optimize SAP BW Extractors (both standard and custom) with proficiency in ABAP debugging.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization of existing BW queries, ABAP reports, and data loads to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of SAP ECC business processes, including Sales, Billing, Finance, Controlling, and Project Systems, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Lead and support end-to-end implementations of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for planning and reporting solutions.
- Design and deliver planning and reporting solutions tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a key client-facing resource for requirements gathering, solution design, and implementation of SAP BW and SAC solutions.
- Analyze and understand complex system landscapes to design and implement SAP BW solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Provide expertise in SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and reporting, ensuring solutions are scalable, maintainable, and meet business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW and ABAP development, with a strong focus on data modeling, ETL processes, and architecture.
- Proven experience with SAP BW4/HANA and BW on HANA.
- 4+ years of experience in implementing planning and reporting solutions, including 2-3 full life cycle implementations in SAP Datasphere and SAC.
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including expertise in user exits, BADIs, and enhancements.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP BW architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience in advanced analytics domains, such as Predictive Analytics, SAC Smart Features, or SAC Application Designer, is a plus.
- Familiarity with SAP Analytics tools such as SAP Datasphere.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Professional Skill sets:
- Experience with Embedded Analytics.
- Proficiency in UX design for data visualizations.
- German language proficiency (spoken)
- Understanding of machine learning or AI-driven analytics tools.
- Certification in SAP BW, SAP Datasphere and SAC, or related SAP modules.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering business value.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Educational qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of hands-on experience in SAP BW and ABAP development, with a strong focus on data modeling, ETL processes, and architecture.
