Octopus by RTG is hiring for a company in the banking sector a skilled Senior Data Engineer.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with 3 to 7 years of experience to design, develop, and optimize data solutions within Cloudera, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and SQL environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and database management, with a preference for those who have experience in the banking sector. This role requires expertise in handling large-scale data, ensuring data integrity, and building efficient data pipelines.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes within Cloudera and Enterprise Data Warehouse environments.
• Work with SQL databases to extract, transform, and load (ETL) large datasets.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across different data sources.
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and performance for analytics and reporting.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance, particularly in the banking industry.

• 3 to 7 years of experience in data engineering.

• Strong expertise in Cloudera, Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), and SQL.
• Experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and performance tuning.
• Ability to handle large-scale data processing efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Banking industry experience is preferred.
