Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer proficient in Spark and SQL to spearhead the design and enhancement of our data infrastructure. This role is pivotal in managing large-scale data operations with agility and precision. While not mandatory, expertise in Python, a background in healthcare data, and familiarity with Power BI Semantic Models would be advantageous and highly regarded. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for data-driven solutions and a dedication to maintaining exceptional standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and uphold scalable data architectures utilizing Databricks and Spark.
  • Execute advanced data manipulation and querying tasks using SQL.
  • Optimize data pipelines and architectures, leveraging Spark for high-volume data processing.
  • Collaborate closely with analytics and business teams to craft efficient data models for business intelligence tools.
  • Uphold high standards of data quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Leverage Python proficiency, healthcare data expertise, and Power BI Semantic Models to enhance data solutions and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, particularly relating to Spark and business intelligence tools.
  • Ability to self-manage and drive the implementation of small-scale data engineering projects.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field preferred; however, substantial relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Data Engineer, with strong command of Databricks/Spark.
  • Proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Power BI Semantic Models, Python, and healthcare data is desirable.
  • Proven ability in data modeling, warehousing, ETL pipelines, and cloud services.
  • Strong analytical acumen, problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with AI software development productivity tools is a plus

Compensation and Location:

  • The salary range is $96,000 to $194,000, depending on relevant factors, including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role can be located remotely within the U.S.
