The Senior Data Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing cloud-based data and analytics platforms and pipelines that acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from a wide variety of sources. This role supports the Family Care Commercial Team and offers the opportunity to work directly with senior business leaders to deliver high-impact solutions used by hundreds of employees across the organization.
This role provides significant visibility and ownership, helping modernize and automate critical commercial processes that have traditionally required substantial manual effort. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and AI, helping shape how Family Care leverages data and emerging technologies to drive business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Build scalable data and analytics solutions primarily in Microsoft Azure, leveraging approved architectures to acquire, process, store, and deliver business insights.
Develop and enhance cloud-based data platforms, pipelines, and data products that support critical commercial and analytics use cases.
Design and implement automation solutions and AI-powered workflows that improve productivity and reduce manual processes.
Build and support AI agents and agentic solutions that help accelerate business decision-making and operational efficiency.
Leverage GitHub Copilot, Copilot Studio, and other AI-assisted development tools to increase development speed and solution quality.
Partner closely with business leaders, product managers, analytics teams, and technical stakeholders to solve high-value business challenges.
Contribute to strategic business capabilities including:
Consumption Data Analysis: Sales, share, Nielsen, AOS, customer POS, pricing, promotion, and competitive analytics
Media and creative performance measurement
AI-driven solutions for shipments, consumption analytics, and decision support
Research data pipelines and analytics
Influence the adoption of emerging data, analytics, and AI technologies across Family Care.
Work within Agile product teams to deliver scalable, cloud-based solutions.
Job Qualifications
Required:
5+ years proven experience with Python/PySpark and SQL/SparkSQL.
5+ years of experience building large-scale data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud-based analytics solutions.
Experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern data engineering practices.
Hands-on experience implementing solutions in cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Microsoft Azure.
Experience building AI agents, copilots, intelligent workflows, or other AI-powered solutions.
Experience using GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted software development tools.
Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies.
Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics platforms.
Ability to work hybrid schedule in Cincinnati, OH.
Preferred:
Knowledge of AAS, DAX, and Power BI is a plus.
Preferred certifications include Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Databricks Professional Data Engineer, Apache Spark Developer Associate, or Google Professional Data Engineer.
Experience with Agile Scrum development practices.
Exposure to building data pipelines in GCP
