Learn more about this role and how you can begin driving your career forward!The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for setting up and maintenance of accurate cost information, maintenance of perpetual inventory system, Warranty and Extended Transmission Coverage analysis, and monthly financial close. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform monthly and quarterly financial close tasks to ensure proper cut-off for assets, liabilities, and expenses.
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries.
- Analyze financial data and generate financial reports for management.
- Analyze employee benefits to ensure liabilities are appropriately stated and prepare cost reports for management.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve reconciling items.
- Assist in analyzing overhead budget and establishing inventory standards.
- Provide analysis in support of global warranty liabilities, extended coverage liabilities and expenses to upper management.
- Maintain accounting policies and procedures related to cost accounting activities.
- Work closely with internal and external auditors on financial audits and internal controls testing.
