Job Description

Roland Berger is looking for Senior Consultants specializing in Operations to join our Mexico City office. You will work on high-impact Operations consulting engagements for various clients in different industries. The Operations team at Roland Berger is dedicated to enhancing operational excellence and driving growth through innovative solutions. We specialize in various areas, including engineering, procurement, production, supply chain, service, operations efficiency, and quality. Our expertise is rooted in understanding industry challenges and delivering creative ideas to optimize business performance.

As a Senior Consultant you will directly interact with clients at leadership level and guide module teams. From the start, you are considered an entrepreneur in our company. Key Responsibilities

  • Manages client projects with primary responsibility for client satisfaction, team excellence, and delivery on time and to budget
  • Manages day to day client relations and builds long-term relationships with client
  • Supports Management Team members with Operations project acquisitions and delivery
  • Conducts the collection, analysis and interpretation of client and industry information
  • Analyzes initial situation of client and helps to develop tailored operations strategies and concepts to enhance performance
  • Structures the problem-solving process and develops project schedules, assigns work to team members
  • Leads specific problem solving, change management, and transformation work streams during client engagements
  • Develops action plans to improve products & processes, increase efficiency, and ensure scalability
  • Interfaces with client employees and project team members on all levels, e.g. from operators on the shopfloor to leadership
  • Helps to build project delivery documents and capability building materials
  • Guides junior team members and provides on the job training and coaching
  • Develops intellectual capital in targeted areas as part of our thought leadership initiatives
  • Travels to client locations

  • Understands S&OP and related planning processes e.g., Demand planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Production Scheduling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • MBA or Masters degree in Supply Chain required
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in the following areas in the management consulting field:
    • Excellent analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative); critical thinking and problem structuring and solving skills
    • Experience with PowerBI, Python and other analytical tools preferred
    • A high level of business acumen
    • Strong PowerPoint development and presentation skills
    • Understanding of operations processes and concepts e.g., procurement, supply chain planning and logistics, manufacturing
    • Pragmatism and pronounced implementation orientation
    • Excellent listening as well as verbal and written communication skills
    • Flexibility to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing requirements while workking in teams
