The Senior Professional, Client Devices - Printer Engineer job is responsible for leading the engineering, administration, and support of the organization's global print environment within the Windows Client Computing space. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure printing solutions across a diverse fleet of enterprise devices, including Canon, HP, Zebra, and specialty printers. With minimal supervision, this job ensures high availability and performance of print services by managing cloud and on-premises print solutions, implementing modern print technologies (e.g., Azure Universal Print), and enforcing enterprise standards for driver management, print security, and device configuration.
Key Accountabilities
Lead the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of global print infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises print solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and standardization.
Manage enterprise printer fleets (Canon, HP, Zebra, etc.), including device configuration, drivers, firmware, print queues, and specialized printing capabilities.Administer and optimize modern print platforms such as Azure Universal Print and LRS Personal Print Manager.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and support across print services, endpoints, servers, and network environments, minimizing business disruption.
Drive infrastructure maintenance through patching, driver standardization, performance optimization, and security controls including secure print release and access management.
Develop automation solutions using PowerShell and integrate print services with Intune, SCCM, and other endpoint management platforms.
Serve as the technical lead for print vendors (HP, Canon, Zebra, LRS), managing escalations, solution evaluations, and service delivery.
Maintain technical documentation, standards, and operational runbooks while partnering with endpoint, network, security, and service management teams.
Possess strong expertise in LRS administration, configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and end-user support.
Support ServiceNow integration for print services, including incident management, request fulfillment, asset tracking, workflow automation, and reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.
Skills Required
- Minimum 4 years relevant work experience (typically 5+ years)
- Expertise with LRS administration, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Experience administering Azure Universal Print and cloud/on-prem print platforms
- PowerShell scripting and automation for print solutions
- Integration experience with Intune and SCCM (endpoint management platforms)
- ServiceNow integration for incidents, requests, asset tracking, and workflows
- Experience managing enterprise printer fleets (Canon, HP, Zebra) including drivers and firmware
- Knowledge of print security controls (secure print release, access management)
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation, standards, and runbooks
