Job Purpose

AVEVA PI Senior Consultant (Solution Engineer) is responsible for working as part of a team that supports PI software, which meet our customer’s requirements utilizing PI Software.

Senior Consultant is engaged in the implementation from supporting contract signature for accounts manager to the final delivery and support for the customer PI that is one of our AVEVA products.

Dimensions

  • Design, implement, and maintain AVEVA PI systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Develop and configure PI interfaces, data archives, and visualization tools.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PI with other enterprise systems.

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support.

  • Create and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.

  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and stakeholders on PI functionalities.

  • Stay updated with the latest PI technologies and best practices.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience with PI system administration and development.

  • Strong understanding of data integration, process automation, and real-time data analytics.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, and C#.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Important Working Relationships

  • The Senior Consultant must be able to work closely with different roles from the customer side IT engineer, lead engineer and end users.

  • Implementations can lead by high skill of programming knowledge.

  • Close co-operation with overseas resources is a major requirement for this position. Internal communication language with oversea colleague is English.

  • The Senior Consultant must develop and maintain strong and healthy working relationships with the oversea engineers, including development and consultants in APAC also other areas and AVEVA sales and consultants worldwide.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in power & utilities, oil and gas or manufacturing industry.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and IoT technologies.

  • Certification in PI or related technologies.

In addition, the following will be beneficial and advantageous but not required:

  • Self-motivated individuals with a customer mindset and desire to help people.

  • Enthusiasm for technical problem solving, with attention to detail and effective communication skills.

  • Ability to learn and research in a dynamic and engaging environment.

  • Business level of English speaking and writing skills

  • Process Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, or related fields.

  • Proven experience of AVEVA PI products or similar technologies.

  • Knowledge in Network and security.

  • Exposure to Windows Server, Access privilege management, SQL would be an advantage

Hybrid working
