Mission Brief

As a Senior People Compensation & HR Controlling Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and operating our compensation programs, and HR cost planning processes. Working closely with Talent Acquisition, HR Business Partners, Finance and business leaders, you will drive compensation governance, salary planning, budgeting and forecasting activities while ensuring data-driven decision-making in a fast-growing international environment.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

  • Lead salary benchmarking activities and provide market-informed compensation recommendations
  • Review salary offers and act as a trusted advisor for compensation decisions across the organization
  • Drive the annual salary review cycle, ensuring consistency and competitiveness
  • Manage and continuously improve bonus and commission programs
  • Own HR budgeting, personnel cost planning and forecasting processes
  • Deliver monthly workforce cost reporting, variance analyses and management insights
  • Support Employee Participation Programme (EPP) activities, including contract creation, leaver agreements and related governance processes
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities and scalable compensation practices

Qualification Checklist 

  • Bachelor degree in HR, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Compensation, Total Rewards, HR Controlling, Finance or Workforce Planning
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities
  • Fluent in English, German is an advantage

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning, Carta, or similar systems
  • Experience in Equity Programs
  • Experience in a fast-growing technology, aerospace, engineering, or scale-up environment
