Job DescriptionRESPEC is hiring a Communications Products Specialist Sr. to support a federal partner’s high-visibility health innovation initiatives. You will lead the creation and coordination of communication products and outreach for diverse audiences, including congressional, executive, clinical, and facility-level stakeholders. This role combines strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and high-quality deliverable production in a fast-paced, federally regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communications and Outreach
- Develop materials and messages for congressional, executive, and facility audiences; ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with program status and capabilities.
- Manage public relations, information output, press releases, media inquiries, advertising, and social media in support of program goals.
- Maintain and organize pilot site email accounts; respond to correspondence and distribute communications at the Government’s direction.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Identify and log stakeholders in a stakeholder registry; tailor engagement strategies to maximize participation and support.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with new and existing pilot sites; coordinate approvals and feedback loops.
- Material Development
- Design and distribute healthcare-related promotional and educational materials (internal and external).
- Build and maintain an onboarding “toolbox” (introductions, agreements, site materials, trainings) for new pilot sites; tailor by site and secure required approvals.
- Reporting and Governance
- Support timely, compliant development of communication deliverables; maintain version control and audit-ready documentation.
- Ensure all communications align with federal standards, branding, accessibility, privacy, and security requirements.
- BA/BS degree.
- 8+ years of experience in public relations and strategic communications, including press releases, media requests, social media, and/or advertising across diverse organizations.
- Demonstrated experience producing communication products for high-visibility programs.
- Excellent writing, editing, and message development skills for executive and public audiences.
- U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) or similar federal healthcare/benefits organizations.
- Experience developing materials for congressional audiences and executive leadership.
- Familiarity with the Senator Elizabeth Dole 21st Century Veterans Healthcare and Benefits Improvement Act and related pilot programs.
- Experience with stakeholder registries, approval workflows, and communications governance in federal settings.
Work Schedule:
- Onsite at Federal Agency in Washington, DC
