Working in the Sky Suite - Airline Network Planning Platform organization, you'll be part of a global team operating across Americas, EMEA, and APAC time zones.
Summary of the role:Amadeus is seeking a Senior Cloud Site Reliability Engineer to maintain and optimize our Azure-based Sky Suite infrastructure. This role ensures 99.99% availability across multi-tenant cloud environments, manages enterprise security and monitoring tools, and leads infrastructure automation initiatives. You will work with Azure services, Terraform IaC, Splunk Enterprise monitoring, identity platforms, and a comprehensive security stack serving global airline customers.
In this role you’ll:- Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure (VMs, VNets, Storage, Key Vault, PaaS services)
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (modules, state management, workspaces)
- Configure Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, VNet peering, DNS)
- Deploy applications via Octopus Deploy and Ansible
- Execute monthly patch management using Azure Update Manager
- Lead security compliance activities (SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, CIS benchmarks)
- Operate enterprise security tools: CrowdStrike Falcon (EDR), Qualys VMDR, Prisma Cloud (CSPM), Imperva WAF
- Conduct vulnerability scans, prioritize remediation, maintain zero critical findings
- Support audit activities with documented evidence
- Manage Active Directory domains (Sites & Services, GPO, gMSA, DNS)
- 5+ years as SRE, Cloud Engineer, or Infrastructure Engineer
- Azure cloud platform experience in production
- Terraform/Infrastructure as Code experience
- Kubernetes/OpenShift production experience
- Proven track record maintaining high-availability systems
- Terraform, Ansible, Git version control
- Windows Server (IIS, Active Directory, PowerShell)
- RHEL/Linux administration
- Azure Entra ID, Active Directory
- Knowledge of security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, CIS benchmarks)
- Knowledge of enterprise security tools (EDR, CSPM, WAF, vulnerability management)
