What You'll Do:
- Agile & Scrum Facilitation:
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies for the development team, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives for bi-weekly enhancement sprints.
- Guide and coach the team on Agile and Scrum practices to achieve a high level of performance and quality.
- Work closely with the Product Owner/ BA to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, groomed, and prioritized.
- Conduct Sprint Planning , manage execution and track burnt down charts.
- Remove impediments, shield the team from external distractions, and resolve conflicts to help them focus on sprint goals.
- Ensure Delivery on Sprints on time.
- Track and communicate team performance using relevant metrics (e.g., burn-down charts, velocity, sprint reports).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Publish sprint release notes
- Production Support Coordination
- Lead a daily production support "scrum-of-scrums" or stand-up meeting for representatives from various Business Applications teams (e.g., Salesforce, NetSuite, Coupa, Zuora)
- Facilitate the rapid triage, prioritization, and assignment of incoming production incidents and urgent support requests.
- Ensure clear and timely communication between support analysts, developers, and business users on the status of critical issues.
- Maintain and optimize a Kanban board or similar tool to provide visibility into the flow of production support work.
- Assist in tracking support metrics and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Identify recurring issues and advocate for root cause analysis and long-term solutions to be added to the enhancement backlog.
- Jira Administration:
- Serve as the team's Jira subject matter expert, managing and configuring the platform to align with our SDLC.
- Create and maintain complex Jira workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes.
- Develop custom dashboards and filters, advanced JQL, and reports to enhance visibility and track key metrics.
- Provide training and support to users, ensuring Jira best practices are followed.
- SaaS Platform Delivery:
- Guide the team in applying SDLC principles to the unique challenges of configuring enterprise SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Netsuite, Coupa, ServiceCloud, etc.)
- Collaborate with Operational leaders, business application leadership and business analysts to ensure the product backlog is well-defined, estimated, and prioritized.
- Facilitate the workflow for requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment within an iterative, sprint-based model.
- Agile Coaching:
- Mentor and coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices and the Scrum framework.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and learning from sprint outcomes.
- Guide the team to become self-organizing and accountable for their commitments.
- Help the organization adapt and mature its Agile practices.
What You Will Bring to Coupa:
- 3-5+ years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master for a software development or IT configuration team.
- Proven experience as a Jira Administrator, with deep knowledge of configuring workflows, schemes, and leveraging JQL.
- Demonstrated experience in an Agile coaching capacity, with the ability to mentor teams and influence organizational change.
- Strong understanding of the SDLC and how to apply its principles to configuring and deploying SaaS applications.
- Experience with Confluence and other Atlassian suite tools that integrate with Project Management tools (e.g. Smartsheet) and testing automation tools (e.g. xRay).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and consensus.
- A servant-leader mindset with a passion for helping teams succeed.
- Active Scrum Master certification (CSM®, PSM I, or equivalent) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
