Leads the design, configuring, and maintenance of automation and integration to systems across the
Systems Development Lifecycle, which are aligned to business processes and relevant governance.

Systems Analyst / Technical Lead
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications, system architecture, and design solutions.
- Design, configure, and integrate new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Develop integration components and APIs and ensure effective system data modelling and flow.
- Track and report on technical design and development progress across projects.
- Write technical test cases, perform unit testing, and support quality assurance processes.
- Provide technical guidance during system implementation and go-live support where required.
- Deliver ongoing system support and troubleshooting, ensuring systems meet SLA and performance standards.
- Identify opportunities for system optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Support and enhance automation and system integrations within the environment.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring team members and ensuring adherence to development standards and best practices.
Experience
Minimum:
Minimum:
- 4+ years’ experience in systems analysis, system design, software development, or systems engineering.
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience providing technical guidance, quality assurance, or mentoring within a team.
- Advantageous:
- Experience working with enterprise or financial systems environments.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology.
- ITIL certification advantageous.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge of:
- Systems analysis methodologies and requirements documentation
- SQL (MySQL / Microsoft SQL)
- API integrations (REST, SOAP, Web Services)
- Automation tools and integration frameworks
- Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
- Quality assurance best practices
- Jira and Confluence
Technical Skills
Exposure to or experience with:
- Java, C#, Python, or .NET frameworks
- Postman / SOAP tools
- XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
Skills Required
- 4+ years' experience in systems analysis, system design, software development, or systems engineering
- Experience working with cross-functional technical teams
- Experience providing technical guidance, quality assurance, or mentoring within a team
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- ITIL certification is advantageous
