How you will contribute
You will ensure that delivered services are optimized to meet business demands and the service operations strategy, plan, measure, report and communicate service improvement initiatives, and serve as a consultant on issues and resolutions. You will also recommend actions that can be taken to optimize investments and benefits and to mitigate risks. This role will require you to identify suppliers, evaluate them, on-board new vendors, establish and run vendor governance; collaborate with management and follow-up on requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and payments; work with project resources to provide design collateral and to configure software components so they are aligned with security policy and governance; and ensure adherence to development and configuration standards and processes.

More about this role
This role will act as the process and system expert for the MDS R&D function, primarily supporting global business applications such as Accolade (Innovation Portfolio Management) and related digital initiatives. The position plays a key role in system implementation, continuous improvement, and user enablement, ensuring that business needs are effectively translated into reliable system solutions by understanding requirements and delivering benefits. The individual will collaborate closely with Product Owners, functional users, vendors, and MDS colleagues across regions, contributing to projects that enhance R&D and Innovation capabilities globally.
Key Output and Deliverables
- Lead and support system implementation and enhancement initiatives, ensuring proper requirement gathering, documentation, and validation with vendors and end users.
- Manage system activities within the Innovation Portfolio Management (IPM) area, including analysis, design, and configuration of business applications to increase effectiveness and efficiency aligned with corporate strategies.
- Elaborate, analyze, document, configure and test product requirements (e.g., features, user stories)
- Support the Product Owner in the development and execution of the product strategy and contribute to the roadmap definition.
- Work in a cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with (but not limited to) Global/Regional MDS teams, R&D, Product Change Managers, Business Developers, Marketing and Finance.
- Maintain and measure the business-as-usual (BAU) activity to ensure data quality, platform stability and license management
- Actively support projects within the global Innovation Portfolio Management capability and other R&D system solutions.
Experience and requirements
- Fluent in English (written and verbal) for global interactions.
- Experience in FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) or other fast-paced industries is a strong advantage, bringing familiarity with end-to-end product and innovation processes.
- Ability to work with third-party vendors to build, test, and deploy technical and application solutions.
- Ability to write functional specifications for integration, data access, analytics, or solution implementation.
- Good understanding of integration points between ERP systems (SAP ECC/PLM), standalone RDQ/Supply Chain systems, SaaS, and other enterprise applications.
- Experience in system implementation, business analysis, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and validation techniques.
- Experience with Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, XP) and iterative delivery processes.
Nice to have:
- Experience with Accolade or other Portfolio Management tools (Planisware, Sopheon, Clarity PPM).
- Understanding of business processes within R&D, Supply Chain, or Innovation Management.

- The role requires some overlap with global teams in different time zones, typically starting early in the morning

- Habilidade para redigir especificações funcionais relacionadas a integrações, acesso a dados, análises ou implementação de soluções.
