We are seeking an experienced BI leader to drive the end-to-end delivery of business intelligence solutions, establishing trusted KPIs and developing scalable semantic models that empower self-service reporting and analytics through Power BI. The role is responsible for ensuring data quality, operational excellence, and platform reliability through robust validation processes, monitoring, incident management, and well-defined operational procedures. In addition, the successful candidate will play a key role in modernizing the BI landscape through the adoption of Microsoft Fabric. As a people leader, this individual will manage and develop a small BI team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance while balancing delivery speed with long-term scalability and reliability.

WHAT YOU'LL DO  

  • Own end-to-end BI delivery (requirements, modeling, reporting) for prioritized business outcomes.

  • Define and maintain KPI/metric definitions, lineage, and reporting standards so stakeholders trust the numbers.

  • Build scalable semantic models and datasets, enabling self-service dashboards and ad-hoc analysis in Power BI.

  • Improve data quality and reliability through validation, monitoring, incident triage, and clear runbooks.

  • Lead and develop a team of 2 direct reports (prioritization, coaching, performance management, hiring/onboarding support).

  • Drive modernization and Microsoft Fabric adoption, balancing delivery speed with reliability and operational excellence.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR 

  • 6+ years in BI/analytics engineering, with people-management experience.

  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder communication—able to turn requirements into scalable, well-documented solutions.

  • Strong SQL (T-SQL) and Microsoft BI stack: SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS (Tabular/Multidimensional), SSRS/Power BI Report Server, Power BI.

  • Data warehouse/mart design, ETL/ELT, and semantic modeling; exposure to Microsoft Fabric is a plus.

  • Agile delivery mindset with strong planning/prioritization, analytical problem-solving, and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and facilitation skills; English (Upper-Intermediate) or higher.

Desired (nice to have)

  • Hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience (Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory, semantic models) and adoption governance.

  • AI-assisted automation for BI/data work (testing, documentation, or pipeline scripting).

  • Git + CI/CD for BI/data and scripting/automation (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, VS Code).
