The Client Insights team at Manheim by Cox Automotive serves as a strategic partner to internal stakeholders and client-facing teams, transforming data into actionable insights that drive client success and business growth. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive client analytics-including business reviews, ad hoc reporting, and strategic insights-aligned to each client's unique goals and operational strategies.
What You'll Do
Business Intelligence Foundations
- Build foundational knowledge of core Business Intelligence concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Execute key responsibilities of a Business Intelligence Analyst under mentorship and structured guidance.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, integrate, and analyze data from internal and external sources to produce actionable insights for the Client Insights team.
- Design, standardize, and distribute datasets and reports to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Perform quantitative analysis on business performance indicators-including revenue trends, marketplace dynamics, and competitive benchmarks-and provide consultative interpretation to support decision-making.
Technical Enablement & Data Stewardship
- Support the development and optimization of data pipelines, workflows, and queries to enhance analytical capabilities.
- Oversee data flow processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accessibility across platforms.
- Uphold data governance standards by ensuring all analytical activities comply with established protocols and quality controls.
- Leverage AI to create efficiencies within the team and tools for external clients.
Client Insights & Strategic Support
- Prepare data-driven insights for business reviews that align with client goals and strategic priorities.
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to uncover operational gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop reporting frameworks that translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Provide responsive operational support to client-facing teams through relationship-building and real-time engagement.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with internal teams to execute projects and deliver high-impact analyses.
- Engage with stakeholders and boundary partners to understand client objectives and align deliverables accordingly.
- Communicate findings with clarity and precision, ensuring recommendations are both actionable and strategically aligned.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field and 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or client-facing analytics roles
- The right candidate could also have an equivalent combination of education and experience (Master's and 2+ years' experience | PHD and 1 year) OR 8 years of experience
- Experience owning analytics end-to-end, including data sourcing, analysis, visualization, and delivery to stakeholders
- Experience supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients through ad-hoc and recurring analytical requests
- SQL Experience, writing/modifying queries to retrieve data from a centralized data repository or warehouse environment
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data from multiple sources, including internal systems and external client-provided datasets
- Experience with data wrangling techniques, transforming raw data through quantitative analysis into clear, actionable insights for business decision-making
- Strong Problem-Solving skills with experience collaborating cross-functionally to understand business needs, identify gaps/opportunities, and align analytical deliverables to objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with client-facing analytics, including presenting insights directly to customers or business partners
- Experience developing dashboards or reports using business intelligence or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms)
- Experience querying or exploring data within a cloud-based data warehouse environment (e.g., Snowflake or equivalent)
- Experience producing recurring or standardized reports and contributing to efforts to automate reporting processes

Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary in the range of $89,400.00 - $134,000.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Benefits:
The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
