The Role

NVIDIA Japan is looking for a dedicated Senior Business Development Manager of Japanese Government to join our ambitious team in Japan. In this role, you will have the outstanding opportunity to craft the future of technology while encouraging positive relationships with government entities.

Reporting to the Japan Regional Manager, you will drive the growth strategies for NVIDIA’s platform in Japan for AI across governments and public sector, in support of the overall go-to-market (GTM) strategy. You will be instrumental in growing NVIDIA’s revenue by implementing our national collaboration plans following a programmatic approach to growing revenue. In this role, you will collaborate with our field sales organization, solution architects, and developer relations teams to:

What you'll be doing:

  • Drive the governments GTM strategy and business plan for Japan region in collaboration with NVIDIA account management teams, to drive demand for our platform and accelerate growth

  • Lead a virtual team of technical, business, sales and marketing resources across NVIDIA and our business partners to drive mutual success

  • Develop Light House Accounts by identifying government agencies that are on the forefront of adopting AI.

  • Pull together data for internal reporting on sales activities including for Trackers, management updates, pipeline development and sales progression reports

  • Develop and maintain flawless relationships with Japanese government officials and regulatory bodies.

  • Build strategies to contribute into government policies

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure compliance with local regulations.

  • Represent NVIDIA in government meetings, industry conferences, and public forums. Conducting business and technical seminars for government officials

  • Build strong relationship with government officials and lawmakers

  • Provide strategic advice to senior management on governmental and regulatory issues.

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) from University.

  • At least 12+ years of proven experience in a government relations role, preferably within the technology sector or government organizations.

  • Strong customer/partner relationship skills demonstrated across multiple countries

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to do market assessments

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Japanese and English

  • Understanding and expert delivery of key features, product messages, positioning

  • Outstanding understanding of Japanese governmental processes and regulatory environment.

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to strictly manage multiple projects and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment, team work is absolute thing to perform

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Knowledge of Generative AI, combined with deep understanding of government operations and local AI landscape in the target market.

  • Possess a contact base of key government officials, deep domain expertise, and an understanding of sales and buying practices in government.

  • Proven track record in presenting complex technical content such as AI, while articulating the value and ROI of AI.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, matrixed environment
