The Cognex Business Applications team provides business processes, platforms, and technology expertise to support our global systems, both back office and front office tools, by designing / improving business processes, managing complex implementation projects, providing user support, training, and keeping the business application landscape up and running 24/7. In addition, the Business Applications team helps optimize the use of all business applications in a cost-effective manner to support and enhance Cognex’s overall success.
The Role:
The Senior Business Analyst, SAP LE/MM will be a core member of the Cognex Business Applications Team within IT working closely with the business organization to drive continuous improvement by developing timely and innovative solutions. This role will work closely with the shipping and inventory management business groups to understand business problems, issues, and priorities and will provide support of current processes as well as new functional enhancements and global project implementations. The successful candidate will have experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing solutions on the SAP platform within Logistics Execution (delivery and shipment processing) and inventory management. This role will also provide support for shipping processes and integration with global trade services. Collaboration with other SAP functional and development teams to design, develop, test, and implement appropriate configuration within SAP S/4 LE and MM is essential.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Business Analyst, SAP Logistics Execution and Inventory management is responsible for production support of the Shenzhen, China Distribution Center and working with the global IT team for software-specific design and realization, as well as testing, deployment and support in the SAP S/4 LE and MM module areas. This includes designing end to end process solutions, writing RICEF documents, working with developers, configuring S/4 LE and MM functionality as needed, unit testing, working with business users for user acceptance testing, performing cutover tasks, identifying master data and ongoing process impacts, and supporting ShipERP shipping functionality within SAP. Identifying integration points and working with other SAP Functional and Technical team members to ensure solution success is a critical responsibility.
Key Experience Requirements:
- 6+ years functional experience with SAP Logistics Execution (LE) and Materials Management (MM) module
- 4+ years SAP configuration experience, preferably with experience in S/4.
- Functional experience with delivery and shipping processes. Experience with ShipERP small package carrier integration is a plus.
- Knowledgeable of import/export processes.
- Functional experience with integration with Sales and Distribution (SD) and Financial Accounting (FI)
- Understanding global trade services, specifically SAP GTS, is a plus.
- Experienced with Available to Promise (ATP), with an understanding of the integration between Sales and Distribution (SD) and Procurement (MM).
- Experience in a full cycle global SAP implementation or SAP system upgrade following a waterfall or agile methodology.
- Experience in understanding and gathering Business rules, Business requirements and end user cases.
- The candidate must be able to design processes and sub-processes and to think through the implications of those designs, taking integration with Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM) and Financial Accounting (FI) into account. Must be able to provide cross functional flow diagrams depicting the integrated process.
- Create functional requirements within a RICEF (Reports Interfaces Conversion Enhancement and Form) document and work collaboratively with a developer to deliver an effective solution.
- Must be detail oriented, self-directed and have strong independent problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate closely with others to accomplish business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
- Time management skills are a must; as well as the ability to be flexible and creative.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
