Within our Business Unit – Water, Industrial Flow & Heat Transfer Technologies, we deliver advanced engineered solutions and systems to a wide range of industries to effectively manage their waste streams. This covers industries like food & beverage, mining, pharma, industrial processing and municipality.

Our Project Management & Engineering (PM&E) organization in Søborg is responsible for delivering both standard and customer-specific solutions—from early sales engagement and bidding to engineering, delivery, and commissioning.

You will be part of the Automation & Commissioning team currently consisting of 10 full-time engineers, working in close collaboration with colleagues across PM&E, including Project Management, Solution Engineering, and Procurement. Together, we ensure delivery of high-quality, competitive, and sustainable solutions to our global customers.

The job

As a Senior Automation & Electrical Bid Engineer, you will bridge sales, solution engineering, and project execution by developing competitive and technically robust automation and electrical solutions. You will play a key role in supporting the Solution Engineering team with quotations, while also contributing to the Automation & Commissioning team’s engineering and project execution from concept to commissioning. The role operates in a dynamic environment with parallel bids and projects, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement within PM&E.

  • Take responsibility for preparing and supporting automation and electrical scope in quotations, including cost calculations, technical solutions, and clarifications & deviations

  • Support with defining automation and electrical system concepts aligned with customer requirements and standard solutions

  • Act as a key interface between Solution Engineering, Automation & Commissioning, Sales, and Procurement to ensure aligned, feasible, competitive automation and electrical proposals 

  • Contribute actively to risk assessment, cost optimization, and technical quality in the bid phase.

  • You will play a key role in ensuring that the automation and electrical scope is clearly defined, costed, and aligned with customer requirements during the bid phase 

  • Support the Automation & Commissioning team during project execution with engineering activities like control panel design, updating of instructional documentation and systems reviews

  • Ensure effective handover from bid phase to execution within PM&E, with clear alignment of scope, assumptions, and technical solutions 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of tools, processes, and standard solutions

  • Take ownership of defined parts of the bid process within your area of expertise

What you know

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or similar

  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience within automation and electrical engineering, combined with involvement in bid/proposal work, technical sales support, or project engineering

  • Proven experience in developing technical solutions, cost estimates, and supporting documentation for industrial projects or engineered systems

  • Solid understanding of:

    • PLC/SCADA systems and industrial automation

    • Electrical design, including panels, MCCs, and instrumentation

    • System integration across process, mechanical, and control disciplines

  • Proven experience contributing to quotations, technical clarifications, and risk assessments, ensuring well-structured and competitive proposals

  • Good understanding of cost drivers, standardization, and solution optimization in industrial projects

  • Familiarity with relevant international standards (IEC, EN, ISO, ATEX is an advantage)

  • Experience from industries such as water, food, energy, or industrial processing

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
