Senior ATD Scientist

Job Description SummaryATD scientist is a cross-modality engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a competitive product to address clinical needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system optimization needs, creation of feasible system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from feasibility and concept to production and operation.
ATD scientist is to deliver the innovation breakthrough with advanced technical readiness for product implementation, collaborating with KOLs and other strategic IAH partnerships. Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Feasibility investigation to enhance existing solutions in product by bringing in advanced new technique from cross-industry and academic field
• Design & development & evaluation of applications, including image quality improvement, product performance upgrade, workflow enhancement and VCP contribution, to address local customer needs and improve product competitiveness.

• Determine product requirements and specifications interacting with stakeholders (marketing, application expert, clinical application specialist, System Engineer etc)

• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Qualifications/Requirements:

MS or Higher Degree in signal processing, math or physics, computer science ,Biomedical engineering or related engineering field 10 years or more experience in image algorithm development. Excellent matlab programming skill or C/C++ Good communication skill in English and Chinese. Ability to take ownership of small and medium sized tasks. Finish work independently. Continuously measures deliverables of self against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives Strong willingness and capability to learn new things fast. Understand application performance.
