As a Senior Associate DATA Centre Technical Architect at NTT DATA, you will play a key role in designing and implementing robust and reliable DATA centre solutions. Your day will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translating them into efficient infrastructure designs, including servers, storage, networking equipment, and physical security measures. You will shape DATA centre strategies to meet current and future needs, ensuring security and compliance.
You will also play a critical role in providing pre-sales technical support, delivering solutions aligned with clients' objectives. From developing network architectures to optimizing virtualized environments using technologies like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM, your expertise will be instrumental in driving optimal performance, scalability, and security. As a trusted technical advisor, you will offer guidance to development teams and support the entire lifecycle of architectural solutions.
Additionally, you will create comprehensive technical documentation, engage in scope determination, product pricing, and rFP/rFI responses. Managing client proof-of-concept initiatives and transitioning proposed solutions to the delivery team will be part of your daily activities. Your role extends to evaluating long-term DATA centre services and ensuring they align with business requirements.
To thrive in this role, you need to have:
- A deep understanding of DATA centre infrastructure components, networking technologies, and virtualization (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Knowledge of DATA centre security principles and compliance standards (e.g., PCI dSS, HIPAA).
- The ability to design and implement network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and virtual networking.
- Expertise in server and storage technologies, such as virtualization, blade servers, SAN, NAS, and DATA backup systems.
- Familiarity with cloud computing (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and cloud architecture.
- Experience in a large-scale, multinational technology services environment.
- Strong client engagement skills and technical consulting aptitude.
- Basic project management knowledge and experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
