As a Senior Applied AI Specialist within our Data & AI team, you'll design self-service insight experiences and AI-native workflows that empower our people to access trusted information, make better decisions, and work more effectively. You'll play a key role in helping Air New Zealand unlock the value of data, analytics, and AI at scale.

About the role
- Design self-service insight capabilities using AI, BI, and semantic layer tools
- Create AI-native workflows with effective human decision points and governance controls
- Develop standards, guardrails, and reusable patterns for insight generation and AI-enabled solutions
- Translate business challenges into scalable data, analytics, and AI solutions
- Partner with business, Digital, Data, and governance teams to deliver trusted and explainable outcomes
- Support adoption and continuous improvement of AI-enabled ways of working
What we're looking for
- Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data products, process design, or digital solution delivery
- Strong understanding of self-service analytics, data storytelling, and insight design
- Experience with AI-enabled tools, workflow automation, prompts, agents, or decision-support solutions
- Ability to translate business needs into practical and scalable solutions
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills
