Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Anaplan Consultant / Solution Architect to partner with business stakeholders and deliver enterprise Connected Planning solutions across Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Workforce Planning, and Operations.

The ideal candidate combines strong consulting skills with deep Anaplan technical expertise. This role requires engaging with business users to understand planning challenges, define future-state solutions, assess existing planning platforms, lead migration initiatives, build scalable Anaplan models, and provide executive-level reporting and analytics.

You will work closely with business leaders, IT teams, data architects, and project managers to deliver high-quality planning solutions that improve business decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Business Consulting & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with business users to understand current planning processes and pain points.
• Conduct discovery workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and solution assessments.
• Translate business requirements into scalable Anaplan solution designs.
• Recommend industry best practices and Connected Planning approaches.
• Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle.

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design scalable Anaplan solution architectures following DISCO and Planual best practices.
• Define model architecture, data hubs, integrations, security, and governance.
• Recommend reusable design patterns and standardized model structures.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects to align with broader technology strategy.

Legacy Assessment & Migration Planning

• Assess existing planning environments including:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • SAP BPC
  • SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Oracle Hyperion
  • Oracle EPM
  • Workday Adaptive Planning
  • IBM Planning Analytics (TM1)
  • Custom Planning Applications
• Prepare migration roadmaps and implementation strategies.
• Define phased migration plans with risk assessments.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation during migration.
• Develop data migration, validation, and reconciliation strategies.

Anaplan Model Development

• Build enterprise-grade Anaplan models from business requirements.

• Support deployment using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
• Validate migrated models and production readiness.

Governance & Documentation

• Maintain technical and functional documentation.
• Establish model governance standards.
• Prepare solution design documents, process flows, and user guides.
• Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards.

User Enablement

• Conduct user demonstrations and workshops.
• Train business users and model owners.
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support.
• Mentor junior model builders and consultants.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes.
• Recommend automation and optimization initiatives.
• Evaluate new Anaplan platform capabilities.
• Drive adoption of Connected Planning across business functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise planning solutions.
• 3+ years of hands-on Anaplan implementation experience.
• Experience delivering multiple end-to-end Anaplan implementations.
• Strong consulting and client-facing experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
