The Senior Reporting Analyst will be a member of the Data Service team within the People, Operations and Insights team which provides data, analytics, and strategic decision support across multiple business units in regions across Mastercard.
This individual will bring experience in analytics and reporting to enable data-driven decisions about talent at Mastercard. Competitive candidates will be detail-oriented, execution-focused, and accomplished with identifying opportunities to introduce consistency & scale to analytical outputs within a matrixed organization.
All About You
Essential
Overall 3-6 years of career experience in a similar field
Experience in People / Human Resources Analytics
Excel experience including creating pivot datasets, conditional formulas and formatting, essential formulas, and charts/graphs
Experience communicating technical results to non-technical audiences
Ability to collaborate with peers and cross-functional teams, working across multiple time zones
Flexible and responsive, with ability to adapt to rapid change in direction or business priority
Openness to feedback and strong self-awareness
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within the confines of data governance and privacy standards
Experience operating in an environment with handling multiple priorities at any given time
Experience with querying databases (SQL or T-SQL preferred)
Experience in BI tools (Tableau or Power BI preferred)
Experience in working with organizational/workforce data
Experience in providing regular reporting for a leadership audience, including attention to detail and ensuring consistency in presentation/output for scaled deliverables
Strong ability to see the forest for the trees, and implement creative strategies to reduce ad-hoc request volume and increase value
Proactive approach and style; comfortable with navigating through areas of ambiguity
Desirable
Experience using HRIS tools (Workday preferred)
Experience in relationship building across large-scale organizations
Experience managing and analyzing structured and unstructured data using tools such as SQL, R, or Python
Familiarity with ETL tool capabilities and utility (e.g., Alteryx, SPSS, Informatica)
Role
First point of contact for recurring reporting & metrics requests from stakeholders across multiple functions globally
Partners closely with People Analytics Consultants within the broader People Operations and Insights team to identify opportunities to create scalable reporting solutions & visualizations
Sees beyond requestors' asks to understand the root query or challenge for which data are being requested
Validates and enforces people data integrity in collaboration with Data management & HR Systems teams
Provides reporting & program management support for BAU activities, examples include annual performance management, talent reviews, employee experience surveys, and other key activities as warranted
Demonstrates exceptional judgment and discretion when dealing with highly sensitive people data
