As a Senior Analyst and part of the Global Technology Hub, supporting the U.S. Financial Services Research and Consulting team, you will join a world-class group of statisticians, data scientists, modelers and industry experts on a mission to extract insights from information and put them to good use. You will have an opportunity to be a part of a variety of analytical projects in a non-siloed environment and be recognized for the work you deliver.

This newly created role supporting the Consulting team within U.S. FS Research and Consulting will work at the direction of the GIC Manager of Research & Consulting and work closely with U.S. based colleagues driving thought leadership to the market. The Research & Consulting Senior Analyst is responsible for delivering market-level business intelligence both to TransUnion’s senior management and to Financial Services customers. To be successful in this position, you must have strong coding skills, a strong analytic aptitude, proven capability to generate charts and dashboards, ability to communicate effectively, and strong attention to detail.
How You’ll Contribute:
You will develop a strong understanding of U.S. consumer credit data and how it applies to industry trends
You will translate complex analytical findings into insightful, succinct and compelling communications and business presentations
You will extract data and perform segmentation and statistical analyses on large population datasets (using languages such as SQL, R, SAS, and Python on Linux and PC computing platforms)
You will contribute to projects involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis leveraging a variety of techniques (e.g. segmentation, regression, clustering, survival analysis, and machine learning)
You will support the production of the quarterly Industry Insights Report (IIR) suite, including the report and webinar
You will refresh existing studies with new data to drive additional insights to market
You assist in gathering and synthesizing market intelligence research and trends outside of TransUnion data to help with a broader understanding of the market dynamics
You will perform customer benchmark analysis using large datasets and prepare reports for customer distribution
You will help to cultivate an environment that promotes excellence, innovation, and a collegial spirit
You will perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with changing requirements and deadlines
What You’ll Bring:
Highly analytical mindset with a curiosity to dig deeper into data, trends and consumer behavior to better understand why consumers act the way they do. Manage multiple tasks concurrently.
Advanced proficiency with one or more statistical programming languages such as R, Python, SQL
Advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Assist in defining and creating meaningful business cases to support new products and growth initiatives.
