Senior Analyst, Online Category Experience- Category Content

The Content Sr. Analyst is responsible for maintaining and optimizing hundreds of category browse pages across our B2C & B2B site experiences to enhance navigation, product education, and customer inspiration. This role plays a key part in instilling customer confidence and accelerating the path to purchase through strategic content improvements. This role collaborates closely with Merchants, Digital Creative, Testing/Personalization and CMS Product teams to support key merchandising initiatives, promotional events, and Pro customer priorities. Through data-driven decision-making, this role directly impacts click-through rates (CTR), bounce rates, and overall digital engagement. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and expand your expertise in e-commerce content strategy, digital merchandising, and omnichannel retail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 40% Analyze customer information (external data, internal research, site behaviors, post-transaction data) to identify the most significant opportunities to improve the customer experience across categories.
  • 30% Identify opportunities to improve taxonomy, purchase path (search and navigation), data content, SEO and post-transaction results through tactical execution.
  • 15% Execute system changes for promotional activity.
  • 15% Develop and execute taxonomy changes in the system necessary to support new onboarding and business changes.

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

  • Position Reports to Mgr, Category Experience.
  • No direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • No travel required

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Proven results in any (but, including most) of the following areas: CI, CRM, customer experience, product content optimization, product management, financial analysis, business analysis, data analytics

Preferred Qualifications (Capabilities Optimization):

  • Aptitude for documenting, training, and supporting cross-functional teams
  • Experience working on eCommerce sites (content strategies, general understanding of customer experience best practices and online site metrics)
  • Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • The ability to understand and influence cross-functional inputs to Product, Engineering and UX Merchandising for achieving better output results
  • High comfort level working autonomously and with ambiguity, and having the ability to influence peers or leaders without direct authority with working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
  • Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills (speaking, writing, presenting)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results

  • Strong relationship building skills with cross-functional partners to effectively balance stakeholder priorities.
  • Track record of taking ownership and driving results in the retail ecomm environment.
  • Ability to use data to understand customer behavior and draw actionable insights from those results.
  • Strong project planning skills to diligently self-manage deliverable timelines
  • Strong numeric and advanced analytics aptitude
  • Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • High comfort level with working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Strong interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills (speaking, writing, presenting)
  • Strong attention to detail

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
