The Business Performance Services (BPS) department within GBS Enterprise Services was created to deliver services internally to Pfizer colleagues and divisions that help create room for meaningful work. By delivering our services with high performance against the Five Points of Value (i.e. optimal cost, quality, compliance, client experience, and business impact), we help colleagues spend more time focusing on their missions; all in support of breakthroughs that change patients' lives. The services our team delivers include, data analytics, translations services, creative, training & development, contingent labor, et. al. We have a variety of vendors who provide these services; however, we have an opportunity for more formal, aligned, disciplined, and governed management of their performance and strategic alignment with the business to execute.
The Manager, External Workforce Operations Fixed Term role is responsible for supporting the contracted resource activities with the external workforce program in EMEA. This role supports the EMEA Snr Manager, External Workforce Leads by ensuring seamless operational execution of the EMEA external workforce. It involves overseeing scope expansion and implementation, change management activities, steady state transition and country stabilization activities. The role also includes supporting governance, reporting, and managing the service provider (MSP). This role also requires collaboration with the broader external workforce team and External Worker Program Director to implement global continuous improvement initiatives at the local level.
This role provides critical operational execution and oversight across EMEA, enabling Snr Managers to focus on strategic oversight, governance and stakeholder alignment, while ensuring consistent delivery, stabilization and risk management of the external worker force program in EMEA.
This position will report solid line to the Director, Global External Workforce Program.
Role Responsibilities
Service Delivery Operations / Technology Management
  • Serve as the operational project manager lead for day-to-day external workforce program management activities
  • Act as a key point of contact for issue resolution, escalations, and stakeholder support related to contingent workforce processes
  • Partner with the MSPs, Business, Accounting, Finance, Procurement, and Digital functions to ensure seamless BAU execution
  • Identify gaps and opportunities in existing processes and collaborate with the EW team and MSP to implement enhancements

Reporting and Analytics
  • Review operating reports and activity metrics to understand trends and bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with the broader global team to deliver key metrics, support global continuous improvement, and implementation initiatives Vendor Relationship Ownership

Vendor and Stakeholder Management
  • Develop strong relationships with the MSP delivery team and their regional account leadership
  • Keep the MSP aligned to Pfizer's global program roadmap and business objectives at all time •
  • Responsible for working closely with other departments such as Finance, Business, and IT/Digital, to ensure that vendor management processes are integrated with overall business processes
  • Oversee trainings and support to other employees involved in vendor management processes to ensure that they understand their roles and responsibilities

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
  • Minimum of bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, MIS, Operations & Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with Business support software
  • Ability to independently develop standardized operating procedures for end-to end service delivery
  • Experience in identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Strong business operations acumen and project management experience
  • Highly detail oriented with an ability to produce high-quality, timely outcomes
  • Flexible to changing priorities and comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment •
  • Strong stakeholder relationship building abilities, negotiation & influencing skills
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact

Typical Years of Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in given service discipline
  • Experience with vendor technology solutions
  • Experience in supporting client relationship management, leadership, and customer service in a technological context
  • Track record of performing business partnerships & delivering value to clients
  • Experience performing client expectation management
  • Proven experience in process improvement, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in a global or matrixed environment preferred
