Your future team
Atlassian is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Project Specialist who will support various Accounts Receivable initiatives and transformation projects. The role is crucial as it encompasses the entirety of project management, from initial planning to full implementation. Responsibilities include managing changes, identifying project risks, collaborating with a diverse team to achieve project objectives, and consistently updating stakeholders on the progress of the project.

What you'll do
In this role, you'll get to:

  • Participate in the planning, execution and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the AR team and other stakeholders to gather key requirements, document these requirements, and discuss them with the Finance Transformation and IT teams.
  • Discuss technical solutions and process design options to stakeholders and ensure AR team's feedback is collected.
  • Responsible for creating UAT scenarios and performing UAT testing to ensure minimal disruption in AR operations.
  • Escalates project issues and risks appropriately to the AR Program Manager.
  • Prepare project go-live checklists to ensure that AR SOPs, policies, and control narratives are updated.
  • Ensure the project cutover runs smoothly and that any issues arising post-launch are resolved promptly.
  • Support the AR team in the transition, implementation, and adaption to the new process until a stabilized state is achieved.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of running multiple projects.
  • Drive the standardization and process optimization to enhance business operational outcomes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and managers to identify areas of opportunities to achieve optimized results for all teams.
  • Coordinate with IT to drive resolutions on operational issues and pain points.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks and other related functions as required and instructed.


Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years experience in the Accounts Receivable role
  • 3+ years of experience in project management
  • Business process analysis and wide project implementation experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills
  • Worked across different multinational and/or BPO/Shared Services Companies
  • Highly analytical and strategic - emphasis on automation and constant improvement
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • High level of dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously


It's also great if you have the following:

  • Revenue accounting experience
  • ERP system implementation experience
  • Experience using Oracle or another equivalent system (e.g., SAP, Netsuite)
