Role Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the outsourced General Ledger and Settlement team to ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings for WUIB, a regulated institution.
• Own full responsibility for WUIB’s General Ledger and operational accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal standards.
• Direct departmental activities related to general accounting, financial reporting, and preparation of key financial metrics including earnings, profits, and cash balances.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of ledger accounts and financial statements, ensuring adherence to approved accounting practices.
• Drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness of systems and programs supporting the Finance organization; lead or contribute to complex accounting projects.
• Manage and develop team members through hiring, performance reviews, and compensation decisions, fostering a high-performing and accountable culture.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support regulatory requirements and ensure alignment with broader Finance and Business objectives.

Role Requirements

• Degree or international certificate in a Finance or Accounting related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of UGB, US GAAP, IFRS, monthly accounting routine processes, general local tax requirements and statutory reporting requirements.
• A substantial number of years’ experience leading an accounting group with an excellent and long-track record in people management.
• Ability to operate in very dynamic and global working environment, managing multiple priorities and interests from different stakeholders.
• Previous experience with Oracle and Blackline is a plus.
• Strong decision making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Fluency in English, both verbally and written.

Salary

The monthly gross base salary range is 5,125 – 7,516 EUR. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and competencies.
